Two young women, Maeve and Becky, meet in prison and instantly despise each other. There's a class difference - Becky's middle-class and shouldn't be in prison. Maeve's from travelling stock and has seldom been anywhere else. Outside, they end up living together, duping their probation officer and working as an anti-vice squad.
