Birds on a Salt Wind was a collaboration between a group of artists- Detta Howe, choreographer & dancer, Katy Lown and Kathy Young, actors, Ken Parry, designer, Jay Young, videomaker, Gary Hickey, composer, and myself as writer.
It's the story of a captain's daughter, Lucy, who is befriended by a sailor's wife in Portsmouth, and the way in which the friendship changes both of them.
The show toured the Southern Arts region during 1997.
